Betty Jean Sprayberry, 93, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2025. She was born to the late Robert and Kathryn Collins in Graysville, Georgia. Betty was a lifelong resident of the Northwest Georgia area and was a member of Parkway Baptist in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. For many years, Betty enjoyed being a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She was known as a selfless person who took great pleasure in being a caregiver and helping others. Betty enjoyed travelling and especially going to California and Arizona to spend time with family. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery, and for many years was a Beauty Control Consultant. Above all, Betty was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She dearly loved her family and cherished every moment she spent with them. Betty was a very loving, sweet, and kind-hearted person, and she will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Sprayberry; parents, Robert Lee and Kathryn Alene Collins; son, Jackie Sprayberry; grandson, Kevin Proctor; brothers, Tommy Collins, Louis Collins, and Allen Collins; and son-in-law, James Proctor.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Elaine Proctor of Ringgold, Georgia, Robert (Melissa) Sprayberry of Rossville, Georgia, and Michelle (Craig) Daniels of Chandler, Arizona; sister, Rose Hutson of Crockett, California; daughter-in-law, Debbie Sprayberry of Rossville, Georgia; grandchildren, Kenny Sprayberry, David Sprayberry, Emma Sprayberry, Jamie Proctor, Jackson Sprayberry, Brett Daniels, Brandon Daniels, and Conner Daniels; great-grandchildren, Ben Sprayberry, Will Sprayberry, Taylor Proctor, Brooklyn Elaine Proctor, Piper Mae Sprayberry; step-grandchildren, Heidi Mueller and Kyle Mueller and several much loved nieces and nephews.
