Betty "Joan" Taylor, 71, of Charlotte passed away on March 20, 2022 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born on November 13, 1950 to the late William and Betty Jackson Lupo. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Lupo and Dustin Lupo. Joan was a loving wife, mother, MawMaw, great MawMaw, sister, and aunt. She dearly loved her grandchildren and playing with them. She enjoyed music, ice cream, and sweets. She made herself known amongst her family members as the "#1 Scorpio."
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Howard Taylor; children, Kim Taylor, Tanya Faulkner (Bobby), Mark Taylor, and Tiffany Taylor (Robert Barnhardt); sisters, Gail Galloway (Larry), Pat Gray (Tony), Cathy Stedman (Danny), and Lori Lowery; 9 grandchildren, Holly Tarleton, Chase Blackmon, Brooklyn Faulkner, A.J. Barnhardt, Hailey Barnhardt, Jayden Taylor, Nikki Ward, Rachael Mullins, and Zachary Taylor; 2 great grandchildren, Averie Millsap and Raygen Tarleton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly.
