Betty Thierman Obituary

She was born October 27, 1925, in New Holstein a daughter of the late Oscar and Clara (Schaetzer) Thierman. She attended New Holstein School until her deafness made it an impossibility, and from then on her role in life was to care for her family.
Betty enjoyed gardening, canning, crafts, puzzles, and her pets. She was a willing participant in the many daily activities and games since becoming a resident at The Homestead. Thanks to the volunteers and staff for making her days a bit brighter.
Survivors include her special nephew Jack (Jean) Thierman of Oshkosh, three great nieces; Terry, Jody, Sarah; and one great nephew Mark; along with their children and grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Myrtle Draheim, and two infant siblings.
No services will be held. Burial will be in the New Holstein City Cemetery.
Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home in Kiel has assisted the family with final arrangements.
