Betty Thomas Obituary
Betty Joan Thomas, 90, of Wooster, died Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Betty was born January 27, 1933, in Lakewood, New Jersey to Bruno Alvin and Grace {Searing} Zeim.
She married John Robert Thomas on September 16, 1966. He died on December 7, 2000.
Betty held various retail positions and assisted in the Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a member of Orrville Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards, reading The Bible daily, and spending time with her family. She was always trying to make those she loved laugh.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children Nancy (Kent) Kimball of Arizona, Albert Noort of Tennessee, Cheryl Ruffner of Oregon, Kim (Mike) Barnhouse, Larry (Linda) Noort of Kentucky, Robert Noort of Hawaii; and son-in- law Geno Cogar. 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister Barbara Puglisi of New Jersey.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cynthia Cogar.
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to The Orrville Church of Christ.
