Betty Louise Walters of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on December 8,1935 to Pete and Lottie Isbell where she began her life full of independence, charisma, and unwavering character.
Betty lived a full life of color, warmth, and movement. She was known for her green thumb and even greener surroundings. She found joy in gardening, particularly rose moss, which brightened her home just as much as she did. Her passion for the color green extended beyond the garden; her carpet, car, and even her walls were proudly adorned in her signature shade a testament to her unique spirit and the comfort she created wherever she went. She was a gifted seamstress whose hand crafted everything from practical pieces to keepsakes. It was through these projects she was able to pour her creativity and love into every stitch. Betty also had a love for square dancing, filling rooms with laughter, rhythm, and the shuffle of well-worn boots. She never missed a chance to dance, and those memories continue to echo in the hearts of those who shared the floor with her. She leaves behind a legacy rooted in creativity, movement, and an unmistakable love for life’s little joys.
Betty is survived by her children, Amanda Vasermanis of Lubbock, Texas and Jeffrey Peggram; grandchildren, Brandi Peggram and spouse Brandyn Fowler of Lubbock, Texas, Linsey Futch of Lubbock, Texas, and Kalem Thornton of Lubbock, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Zoe Harmon, Eli Brown, Bailey Brown, Crista Futch, Kyley Vaughn, Augustine Thornton, and Ryker Thornton.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Pete and Lottie Isbell, and son, Richard Peggram.
