Betty Lou White

Betty Lou Duggins White, 92, of Archdale, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Betty was born on August 10, 1933, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to the late Walter and Purdy Duggins.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James "Buck" White, Sr., who passed away in 2022; her son, James Vance White, Jr.; her parents; two brothers and three sisters, and her "second mother" Frances Phillips.

She is survived by her loving children, Vicki White-Lawrence, Thomas Michael White, Sr. and wife Pam, and Linda White Sherrill. She was a proud grandmother to Thomas White Jr. and wife Megan, Dana Parson Campbell and husband Brian, Brian Fields, Philip J. Lawrence and wife Lynn, Hayden Lawrence, and Brenda Sherrill. Her great-grandchildren - Cody M. White, Lauren L. White, Eli Campbell, and Fiona Campbell - brought her endless joy and pride.

Betty is also survived by her niece Dale Duggins, her nephew, James Motsinger, and her foster sisters, Carol Trotter and Mary Sue Waters, who held a special place in her heart.

A devoted member of Glenola Baptist Church, Betty's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was an avid fan of Conway Twitty and Dale Earnhardt, and she found great joy in bowling - a passion that earned her many trophies over the years. Above all, Betty loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.

A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery in Asheboro, NC.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, whose care and compassion meant so much to Betty and her family.

Betty's warm heart, laughter, and love will be forever remembered by those who knew her.
