ARCHDALE - Howard Lee Marshall, 88, died Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born December 25, 1936, in Randolph County and was the son of the late Basil and Helen Fields Marshall. Howard worked as a dairy farmer for more than forty years and retired from W.S. Beeson & Sidney Dairy Farm in Sophia. He was a member of Glenola Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, choir member and volunteer with community meals. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a die-hart Atlanta Braves fan. Perhaps his favorite past-time was sitting on his patio and rocking on his front porch.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Fisher; brother, Ronald E. Marshall; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Marshall.

Howard is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dolores Lewallen Marshall, whom he married on February 8, 1957; son, Curtis Marshall (Tami) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Beverly Swing (Kirby) of Thomasville and Rita Cobb (David) of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Krystine Farrow (David) of Princeton, Texas, Preston Marshall (Danielle) of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Conner Marshall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two step-grandsons, Daniel Cobb (Claire) of Savannah, Georgia, and Brent Cobb (Laurel) of Swannanoa; two great-granddaughters, Lily Farrow and Katelyn Farrow; two step-great-granddaughters, Eva Cobb and Penelope Cobb; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service celebrating Howard's life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Glenola Baptist Church in Archdale with Pastor Ben Hurley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.

Committal service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 27, 2025, at Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery in Asheboro.
