Jeannie Sessoms Viers, born November 21, 1971, to Horace and Linda Sessoms, passed away peacefully at her home in Whitsett, North Carolina, on October 17, 2025. She was 53 years old.

Jeannie was of the Baptist faith and carried her beliefs with quiet strength and grace. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Glen Viers, whom she loved deeply.

She is survived by her three children: Richard Glen Viers Jr. and his wife, Naomi; Nathan Stuart Viers; and Kayla Marie Viers. She leaves behind two beloved grandchildren who were a constant source of joy in her life. She is also survived by her father Horace Sessoms, mother Linda Sessoms, brother Horace Sessoms Jr., and her aunt, Marie Scearce.

Jeannie was known for her gentle strength, generous heart, and the love she poured into her family. As a mother and grandmother, she was dedicated, nurturing, and unwavering in her support. Her presence was a steadfast comfort, and her memory will live on in the lives of those she held closest.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at Cumby Funeral Home, located at 206 Trindale Road, Archdale, NC 27263. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location.

Jeannie will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew her.
