Paul Grey Hinshaw

Mr. Paul Grey Hinshaw, 88, resident of Trinity, passed away on October 19, 2025 at his home.

Paul was born November 15, 1936 in Wilkes County, NC, a son to Thomas W. Hinshaw, Sr. and Alma Shelton Hinshaw. He was a resident of this area most of his life, a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and Army Reserves, and employed with North State Communications. Many will remember him from time spent with The Cut Glass Band, Southern Comfort, and the Playboys, where he played guitar and wrote some of the songs they performed. Music remained a special passion throughout his life. In 1977, he married the former Patsy Manring, who survives him of the residence.

Also surviving are his daughters, Linda Streetman (Scott) of Sunset Beach, NC and Traci Paige Moore (Kevin) of Seymour, TN; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Wiley, Jr. and Floyd Hinshaw.
