High Point – Linda Faye Turner Thompson. 83, Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center.

Linda was born on May 19, 1942, to the late Henry Otto Turner and Margaret Christine Allred Turner. In addition to her parents a brother, Herschel Turner preceded her in death.

Linda was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Park Place Baptist Church in Thomasville, where she worshiped faithfully until her health no longer allowed her to attend. She was blessed with many dear friends-too numerous to name-but shared a particularly close bond with her best friend, Kitty Williams, and her family, as well as Judy Causey and her family.

Linda dedicated over 50 years of her life to her work as an upholstery sewer, contributing her talents to several well-known companies including Braxton Culler, B & H Manufacturing, Baker Furniture, Thayer Coggin, and Swaim Originals.

Linda is survived by her children, Teresa Carter of High Point, Angela Vaden of Trinity, Russell "Rusty" Thompson and wife Melissa of Georgia; sister, Nancy Meredith; sister-in-law, Donna Watson Turner; grandchildren, Joshua Vaden, Alesia Branning (Roger), Christopher Vaden (Megan), Russell Vaden, Morgan Poteat (Tanner), Abigail Thompson; great-grandchildren, Leah Faith Branning, Ryan Hamm, Kyleigh Vaden, Blake Vaden, Jacob Vaden, Layla Vaden, Layla Gail Vaden, Travis Vaden, Carson Kirby, Hunter Hall, Paisley Baughn, Mason Poteat, Jadon George, Kelsie Wise, Nathan Gore-Wise. Also, there are several nieces and nephews whom she loved.
