FORTVILLE- Betty Jean (Henderson) Wilson, 88, passed away January 15, 2025.
She was born on February 20, 1936, in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
In addition to being a homemaker, Betty had been employed at RCA Corporation, Indianapolis; Firestone Products, Noblesville and the housekeeping department at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville for many years.
She was a member of the Knightstown Church of the Nazarene and Red Hat Society.
She was full of life, known for her spunky personality, kindness, and friendliness. Betty had a generous spirit and never missed a birthday or Christmas, always sending cards to celebrate every occasion. Though she didn’t have much, she always wanted to give. She was incredibly proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She never knew a stranger and was welcoming to all. She treated everyone like they were family and everyone that knew her loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert Bruce and Jennie Mae (Sammons) Henderson; son, Brian Scott Hilton; and siblings, Hubert Henderson and Nettie Foust.
Survivors include her sons, Bruce (Leah) Hilton, David (Tara) Hilton, and Gary Hilton; brothers, Lester Henderson and Donald Henderson; eight grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with a visitation from 12 to 1 p.m.
Private burial will take place later in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Indiana.
