Priscilla Kate McCallister, 77, of Pendleton, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Vincent Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on June 30, 1948, in Cookeville, Tennessee to Harshel C. and Mary Alice (Bowman) Vaughn. She was a graduate of Madison Heights High School. She worked at Guide Lamp Division of General Motors for 17 years. She then worked at USA Funds Student Loan Servicing for 12 years.
She attended East Side Church of God from 1954 to 1983 when she moved to Mount Gilead United Methodist Church. She was currently attending Pendleton First Methodist Church. She loved spending winters in Florida with her husband and campfires. She was a member of two euchre clubs.
Priscilla is survived by her husband, Austin William McCallister; two sons, Phillip (wife, Crystal) Allen and Robert Allen; three stepchildren, Donna Whetsel, Jo Ann (husband, Charlie) Turner and Jay (wife, Tish) McCallister; three grandsons, Jonathan Allen, Blaine Allen and Quinton Allen; step-grandchildren, Jamie (husband, Brad) Oster, Greg Turner, Jessica (husband, Joel) Hungate, Tim Turner, J.T. (wife, Brianna) McCallister and Mark (wife, Katie) McCallister; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie (husband, Art) Brown.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rex Arnold Allen and her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastors Julia Gonzales and Susan Barrett. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana State Fair Foundation, Pioneer Village or the Pendleton First United Methodist Church.
