Bevan William Alwin passed away on November 7, 2023, after an over 20 year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Bevan was born in 1949 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin to Harold and Mabel Alwin. He grew up in Reedsburg, Wisconsin where he graduated from high school. He went on to the University of Wisconsin where he graduated with a B.S. in geology. He earned an M.S. in geology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Bevan was employed by Exxon for 22 years and by Pioneer Natural Resources for 10 years.
Bevan was a loving husband, father and grandfather who especially enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking as well as coaching and refereeing soccer.
Bevan is survived by his wife, Lola; son, Christopher; daughter, Cassandra Altizer (Chris); granddaughters Kendall and Chloe Altizer; brother, Marshall Alwin (Rebecca); sister, Sharon Knott (Judd); several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

We love the Alwin family, we were very fortunate to be neighbors when our kids were young. Such a sweet and fun family. Bevan was always there to help out his family and friends, enjoyed those years and his kind disposition . We are deeply sorry for your loss. Tom and Ann Troester
