Beverlee Eckmann, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2020 at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Pelican Woods Cemetery in Breezy Point, MN.
Beverlee was born May 2, 1927, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Violet (Pointer) Bridgeman. After graduating from Washburn High School, Beverlee continued her education at the University of Minnesota. On May 21, 1949, she married Donald Eckmann. They lived much of their lives in the Twin Cities area. For many years after retirement, Beverlee and Donald divided their time between their lake home on Whitefish Lake and Texas.
Beverlee enjoyed family life. She liked to cook and bake. She loved nature, including birds, flowers and gardening. Beverlee also had an artistic and creative flair, enjoying painting, sewing, rug hooking, and many other craft activities.
Beverlee is survived by her children, Dr. David (Kathleen) Eckmann, of St. Paul, Steven Eckmann, of San Antonio, TX, and Jeannie (Mark Schleiss) Bridgeman, of St. Paul and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald.
Memorials may be made to Crosslake Lutheran Church.
