Beverley Lorraine Hurd

Beverley Lorraine Hurd January 13, 1935 – September 19, 2025 Beverley Lorraine Hurd, 90, of Vallejo, California, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on January 13, 1935, in Turlock, California, to Agnes and Loren Crowell, Beverley lived a full and vibrant life defined by love, service, and dedication to her family and community. Beverley had a lifelong passion for gardening and a deep affection for her cats, who brought her comfort and joy. She enjoyed exploring her creativity through drawing and painting classes, and she loved traveling, with fond memories of her time in Europe. She was proud to serve as president of the Elks Emblem Club, cherishing the friendships and community she built there. Her career reflected her caring nature. She worked for many years at the VA Hospital in Martinez, California, before retiring. Even in retirement, Beverley stayed active, managing the Twin Peaks property in Fairfield until the age of 85. She will be remembered most for her generous and loving heart. Beverley was kind, caring, and always willing to help others in any way she could. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone who knew her. Beverley was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dale C. Hurd. She is survived by her daughter, Penne Usher; daughter-in-law, Stacy Hurd; grandchildren, Alexis Watts, Auston Usher, Amber Moller, and Sierra Nordell; and 8 great-grandchildren. Her family and friends will forever remember her as the most loving, selfless, and caring person. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and love will live on in those she leaves behind.
