Beverlita "Beve" Sylvester, age 60, of Neptune, NJ, entered eternal rest on August 28, 2025. Born in London, England, to Diana Thompson (Pearl Wright) and David Sylvester. She grew up in London with her siblings Petrona, Maria, and Sharon, and because of unforeseen circumstance, she went into foster care with two of her sisters.
Beve was a gifted musician, serving as the bass guitarist for the predominantly all-girls group Black Shades. Her love of music opened doors in London and Los Angeles, where she worked with Grammy-winning producer David Pensado, known for producing major artists such as Micheal Jackson, and Beyonce. Yet her greatest joy came when she gave her life to Christ in 1995. From then on, she lived with faith and purpose, serving through outreach, caring for the less fortunate, and spreading God's love wherever she went.
In her later years, Beve returned to New Jersey, where she dedicated herself to caregiving. She was known for her compassion, loyalty, radiant smile, and laughter. Beve leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her mother, Diana Thompson, her siblings Petrona, Maria, and Sharon, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
