Beverly Jo Allen

BEVERLY JO (CHURCH) ALLEN, 66, of Hurley, VA, passed away October 22, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Doug Church and Dorothy Cox. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Christian Faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was a former cook and cashier at Shell Mart.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and loved taking care of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Chad Stiltner; brother Frankie Dean Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 46 years, Boyd Rex Allen, Hurley, VA; children: Kelly Cox, Vansant, VA, Christie Stiltner, Marion, IA, Angela (Jimmy) Looney, Georgetown, KY, Christopher Allen, Hurley, VA; brother: Jeffery (Regina) Church, Abingdon, VA; sister: Linda (Jimmy) Smith, Claypool Hill, VA.
Also, survived by 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for BEVERLY JO (CHURCH) ALLEN will be conducted Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Conn and Mike Rife officiating with cremation to follow.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the family and friends that visited or reached out and the 12th floor ICU staff of U.K. Hospital.
