Beverly Ann Legans Swaim Thornburg

Yadkinville – Beverly Ann Legans Swaim Thornburg, 75, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was born August 21, 1948 in Iredell County to the late Luther Legans and Margaret Hanes Legans. Beverly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved going to the beach. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Connie Levis. She is survived by her husband, John “David” Thornburg; children, Timmy (Ann Vanhoy) Swaim, Marti (Brent) Shore; step-son, Anthony Thornburg; grandchildren, Lane (Julia) Swaim, Jordan Shore, Morgan (Denver Stokes) Swaim, Graylyn Shore, Ashlyn Shore, Breanna Thornburg, Justin Phillips; great grandchildren, Violet Swaim, Van Swaim, Conway Stokes; and her precious canine, Odie. Her memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Grady Trivette. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
