Raymond Tilton Muncus 78, went home to be with the lord on Tuesday October 21, 2025 at his home in Jonesville NC. Tilton was born September 25, 1947.
He was a dedicated Father, Grandpa, and Friend. Tilton retired from Unifi after a 33-year career as a truck driver. He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church and loved to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others he met during his life. Tilton enjoyed riding motorcycles with his family and friends.
Surviving to cherish his memory are the mother of his children Lois Cornelius of Boonville, daughter Toni Wooten-Wright (Bob) of Lexington NC, Son Jody Muncus (Teresa) of Yadkinville NC, Grandson Brody Wooten (Molly) of Newfoundland, Granddaughter Emily Collins (Dustin) of East Bend, Granddaughter Randy Jones (Austin) of Pinnacle, Grandson Andy Muncus of Yadkinville. Several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Tilton was preceded in death by his parents Victor Wendell Muncus and Ozell Brown Muncus, brothers Feral Wendell Muncus and Ronald Muncus, a son in law Randy Allen Wooten.
The family would like to express special thank you to Sherry Muncus for her care for Tilton during his time of sickness. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice and the Woltz Hospice Home for the tender care provided to Tilton. They also wish to express heartfelt appreciation to Geneva and Ellen for their compassion and love during Tilton’s illness.
A funeral service will be conducted at Fall Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 2:00pm, with Pastor Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fall Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 3345 Fall Creek Church Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642 or CEF Blue Ridge Chapter, PO Box 425 Elkin, NC 28621.
