Beverly C. Bailey (nee Mundt), age 85, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family at her side. Survived by her children Scott (Mary) Bailey and Dan (Lana) Bailey, her grandchildren Marissa Lewis, Harleigh Bailey, and Jake Bailey, her great grandchildren Kyleigh Bailey, Nathan Lewis, Hudson Lewis and Ryleigh Bailey, her sister Barb (Dave) Hertko, her sisters-in-law Nelda Stenfors and Patricia Mundt and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Mildred (nee Bohan) Mundt, her husband Roscoe Bailey (2024), her sons Stephen Bailey and Timothy Bailey, her brother David Mundt and her siblings-in-law Eldean Bailey, Don Bailey and Glenda Heishman. Beverly was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School in Manhattan and Lincoln-Way Central High School. She was a lifelong active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manhattan. Beverly worked as a bookkeeper for a local business for several years until taking a position in the office at Lincoln-Way Central High School until her retirement. She enjoyed baking and sewing; she took pride in making all of her grandchildren's costumes. Beverly also enjoyed gardening and simply sitting outside soaking up the sun with a glass of iced tea. She also enjoyed camping all over the United States with her husband Roscoe, often visiting family and friends along the way and many times taking their grandchildren as well. Beverly was a loving wife, mom, gram, great gram, sister, aunt and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Beverly will take place on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 9:30am until 11:30am at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Prayers will take place at 11:30am followed by a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 W. North St., Manhattan for 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S. State St., Manhattan, IL 60442, 815-478-3321, www.forsythegouldfh.com.
