Beverly A. Bartosiak

Beverly A. Bartosiak, 96, of Wethersfield went home to the Lord peacefully on the evening of December 10, 2025. She was born in Meriden, daughter of the late Ignatius and Katherine (Pas) Bartosiak. Beverly was a former member of the Felician Sisters of Enfield and a graduate of St. John's University, Jamaica NY. She was an educator for 45 years, having taught in Boston, New York City and Brazil. In addition, she was principal of St. Bridget School in Manchester. Her last employment was East Catholic High School where she served the Religious Studies Department for 15 years. She loved her ministry as an educator and touched hundreds of young lives.
Beverly was predeceased by eight siblings and leaves several nieces and nephews and numerous friends, including Barbara Gawle, her best friend, longtime companion, and in later years caretaker.
We wish to thank medical professionals who served Beverly for many years: Dr. Maliha Nafees and Dr. Brett Duncan of Hartford Healthcare, in addition to the numerous health care workers who cared for and comforted her in her last days at Civita Care Center in Newington.
Beverly was a long-time member of the Church of the Incarnation, now part of Christ the King Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Beverly's life will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, beginning at 11:30 am in Incarnation located at 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Those who wish to escort the casket are asked to meet in the church entrance. There will be no calling hours. A private burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Middletown at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Felician Sisters of North America, 871 Mercer Road, Beaver Falls PA 15010 or to East Catholic High School, 115 New State Road, Manchester CT 06040.
