Beverly Birdsell, 65, of Wilson, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Beverly was born on August 7, 1959, in Hereford, Deaf Smith County, Texas, to the late Hubert Leroy Edwards and Mary Jaqueline (Stegall) Edwards.
She was raised in the Hereford area and attended Hereford schools where she graduated with her senior class of 1977.
Beverely met the love of her life, Cary Wayne Birdsell, and they were united in marriage on September 12, 1987, in Lubbock, and out of this union were born two wonderful daughters, Briana and Jessica. Mr. Birdsell preceded her in death on June 26, 2023.
She loved to do crafting, enjoyed cooking, showing off her gardening abilities and most of all, loved and cherished her grandchildren. She has worked in cosmetology since high school and attended cosmetology school while at Hereford High School. Most recently, she has worked at Panache Salon in Lubbock for the last 11 years and has built up a loyal and strong customer base. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include two daughters: Briana Jones and her husband Wade of Lamesa and Jessica Etheridge and her husband Colton of Clovis, New Mexico; two brothers: Brian Edwards of Lubbock, and Bruce Edwards and his wife Deanna of Lubbock; one sister, Sherri Chandler and her husband Steve of Lubbock; and her five adorable grandchildren: Corbyn Jones, Teagan Jones, Arlee Etheridge, Lottie Etheridge and Walker Etheridge. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Southcrest Baptist Church, 3801 S. Loop 289, Lubbock, TX 79423. Pastor Danny Henderson will be the officiant. The family will receive friends following the service in the church foyer. Memorial services are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
