Beverly Jane Brogdon

Beverly Jane (Compton) Brogdon, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of the Mishawaka community, peacefully concluded her earthly journey on February 22, 2025. Born in Mishawaka, Indiana, on September 7, 1937, Beverly's life was characterized by her unwavering devotion to her family and her enduring faith.
Her formative years were nurtured in the same town she was born in, where she attended Mishawaka High School. Her commitment to family became evident when she married the love of her life, James I. Brogdon, on September 12, 1955, in a ceremony that celebrated the beginning of a union that would last over 54 cherished years. Together, they built a life founded on love and mutual respect until his passing on July 3, 2010.
Beverly will always be remembered as the caring and steadfast homemaker who lovingly raised her children, Cynthia (Terry) Brogdon, Valerie (Paul) Milcherska, James Jr. (Tamra) Brogdon, and Russell Brogdon. Her parental mantle extended to her beautiful grandchildren, Christine (Edward), Tracey (Josh), Tony (Shannon), James III, Matthew, Jeremy, and Stephanie, and further to her 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply.
Her brother, Craig Compton, survives her, continuing the familial legacy she held so dear. Beverly was welcomed into the hearts of her parents, Russell and Jane (Reynolds) Compton, in their eternal resting place, alongside her beloved sister-in-law, Jeannie Compton.
Beverly's interests took root in the simplicity and beauty of life. She had an exquisite eye for antiques, a love for the outdoors, and placed family at the center of her world. A faithful attendee of College Park Missionary Church for over two decades, Beverly lived her life with God as her constant guide and source of strength.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with services starting at 12 p.m. All services will be held at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46545. Pastor Jim Bayer will officiate the service. Procession to Fairview Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
