Beverly Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by King-Tears Mortuary, Inc. - Austin on Dec. 27, 2023.
Beverly Carol Brown was born in Austin, Texas on August 12th, 1947, to Jim John Houston and Mary Louise Houston who were married until God called them both home. Together they conceived 9 children: George Houston, Larry Houston, Barbra Ann Houston, Johnnie Mae Houston, Sandra Jones, Jim Houston, Leroy Houston, John Lee Houston, and Beverly Carol Brown. Beverly Carol Brown was united and baptized at Rock Quarry Missionary Baptist Church on FM 969. She remained a faithful member of the church all her life where she was a Deaconess, one of the lead soloists, and was a firm believer in paying her tithes.
Beverly Carol Brown attended school within the AISD at the OLD L.C. Anderson High School, Austin Community College, and was employed at the United States Postal Service. During her school days she met Don Brown and the two of them fell in love and conceived 5 children of their own. Beverly Brown, Don Brown, Vicki Brown, Roxanne Brown, and Larry Brown. After her employment she faithfully raised her children and grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren. Beverly loved shopping, had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies on television. She also loved getting her hair done, listening to gospel music, going to church, singing in the choir, and the opportunity to fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
In Heaven she will join her mother and father "Mary Louise Houston and Jim John Houston", and 4 siblings: Sandra Jones, Jim Houston, Leroy Houston, and John Lee Houston. Left to cherish Beverly Carol Brown's memories: Beverly Brown, Don Brown, Vicki Brown, Roxanne Brown, and Larry Brown. 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, as well as extended family members, friends, and loved ones.
Beverly Carol Brown's family wishes to thank you all so much for your deepest condolences, gratitude, and sympathy while she continues a gracious life with the Lord. In extend a special thanks to Enhabit Hospice, Beverly Brown, & Robin Satterwhite for the ongoing care provided in Beverly Carol Brown's last days here on earth. Also, a thank you to Rock Quarry Missionary Baptist Church Beverly's home church for allowing the family to have her homegoing here as it was Beverly's only wish.
Beverly lived a joyful life and knew she was loved by so many people. She welcomed everyone with open arms and carried them under her wings as she continued to keep her faith in God. She spoke religious words and would not want anyone to cry for her. She would want everyone to celebrate, sing, and rejoice as she goes home to be with the Lord and her family in heaven.
