Beverly Ruth Capps, 63, of Sparta, Michigan, passed away on Friday October 20th.
Beverly was born on June 17th, 1960, to Havard and Jean Capps in Hammond, Indiana. She was a graduate of Hammond High School, Purdue University and received her Master of Education from Hyles Anderson College. Beverly was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Grand Rapids. She was very active in the church that she loved very much. She was employed by Gerber Life Insurance and just celebrated her 15-year anniversary. Beverly loved to read and loved knitting!
Beverly was preceded in death by her mom and dad; sisters, Laura Haub and Virginia Hubbard; and brother, Kenneth Capps. She leaves behind her sister, Becky (Paige) Capps, niece, Joni (Paul) Galbreath; nephew, Keith (Mandi) Clapp; and great nieces and nephews, Steven Dewey, Alex Galbreath, Vanessa Galbreath, Hayley Cochran, Cori Galbreath, Lindsey Clapp and Piper Thilmont. She loved and was very proud of all of her family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1000 Aberdeen Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI from 5-6:30 PM with a service immediately following at 6:30 PM. Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN where she will join her mom, dad, sisters and brother on Saturday morning at 11:00 AM.

I REMEMBER BEVERLY FROM HIGH SCHOOL AT HAMMOND HIGH!!She was always such a sweet nice girl!!..You will be missed by many!!..RIP..SWEET BEVERLY!!

It was special to have Beverly in our home to recup after a surgery she had. She usually had a smile and had very little negativity. She had such a kind heart. I miss her already.
