Beverly Danbom

1945 - 2026

Loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife Beverly Corinne Danbom passed away on 13 February 2026 in Houston, TX. She was born on 30 January 1945 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Dave and Helen (Ditter) Schwab. Her childhood was spent on family farms near Scottsbluff and Lingle, Wyoming. She earned her high school diploma from Lingle High School in 1963 and then graduated from Goshen Community College in Torrington, Wyoming, two years later, in 1965. The following year, she attended Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. On January 10, 1968, she married David C. Danbom and became a Navy wife. She and David were stationed together in Cyprus, Hawaii, Japan, the Philippines, Maryland, and Pensacola, Florida, where she lived until 2023. When David was frequently deployed onboard ships for extended deployments, she was often the sole parent to their sons. She epitomized the slogan, The hardest job in the Navy is a Navy Wife. An avid world traveler, she visited all the states, four continents, and over sixty countries. Her parents and grandson, Peyton Tyler Danbom, precede her in death. Her husband David, son Stephen Danbom, son and wife Michael and Carrie Danbom, granddaughter Emily Danbom, sister Davine Hughes, brother and wife Mark and Angie Schwab, and her cousin like a sister Cheryl Rintamaki survive her. Interment is scheduled for a later date at the Nebraska State Veterans Cemetery in Alliance, Nebraska. The family is deeply grateful to the Sunset Hospice team whose kindness, compassion, and gentle care brought her peace and comfort.
