Beverly (Arnold) Ellenberger, 79, died unexpectedly February 24, 2010 in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Decatur, IN she was married to her beloved husband Duane Ellenberger for 59 years and she spent her winters in North Port Florida with Duane. She was a member of the Heron Creek Red Hatters, North Port Christian Women's Club, St.Joseph Methodist Church in Fort Wayne and also taught Sunday School at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne. She was an artist and was in the Johnny Appleseed Festival for 20 years (Country Carvings) with Duane. She was a licensed Cosmetologist and a former member of the Fort Wayne Art League and Jaycee Wives. She is survived by her husband Duane; son Mark (Nancy) Ellenberger of Eldersburg, MD; daughter Cheryl Ellenberger of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Andrea (Mazen) Wehbe of Gaithersburg, MD , Sarah Ellenberger of Eldersburg, MD and Tyler (Elizabeth) Henney of Fort Wayne; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Patricia Roth of Union City, IN; brothers, Lawren (Mildred) Arnold of New Haven, IN, Warren (Glory) Arnold of Ligonier, IN and Sherman (Barbara) Arnold of Iowa. Beverly will be the greatest angel that God has ever had. Funeral Service is 11am Wednesday at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with Rev. Sid Gauby officiating. Visitation is Tuesday 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

I have a carving by Beverly that I have enjoyed for years now. I never knew who had made it until just now, so I decided to the look the person up. I'm sad to see that she is passed, but she lives on through her art, which I will proudly display for as long as I live.
