Beverly Jean Keen Freeney, age 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Beverly “Bev” was born on March 2, 1942 to Logan and Georgia Keen in Marietta, Ohio. She was “Daddy’s Little Girl” and told many stories over the years of her childhood. As a teenager, she was cheer captain and homecoming queen at Green High School in Green, Ohio. She attended Bob Jones University where she met and married her college sweetheart Pat. They spent their married life working in churches together. She dedicated her life to serving others and furthering the Kingdom of God. She was a devoted and loving mother of four and grandmother of eight, never missing an opportunity to spoil her grandkids. Bev was always there to give a smile, a hug or share a laugh with a friend in need. She was well-loved for her sweet disposition and her encouraging and kind demeanor. We remember Beverly as a devoted wife and mother, a loving friend, a playful grandmother, a kind and gentle soul and a selfless servant of Christ.
She is survived by daughter Lisa, son Steve (Karri), son Mike, daughter Joy (Jon) Arita, brothers Charles (Mary) Keen and Randall (Marg) Keen and 8 grandchildren: Logan Albritton (23), Anna Albritton (21), Violet Freeney (20), Roman Freeney (17), Olivia Freeney (15), Hudson Arita (13), Croix Freeney (12), and Avery Kate Arita (11). She is joining her husband Pat and parents Logan and Georgia in heaven.
Beverly’s favorite Bible passage was Proverbs 3: 5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
