In 1948, she united in marriage to Paul Grimes. To this union, they were blessed with four daughters. Her husband preceded her in death in November 1986. In March of 1986, her prayers were answered. She witnessed the power of God work in her husband's life when he accepted Christ and united with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Sacramento, where he was baptized.

She was also faithful in transporting seniors to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping, picking up their medication, as well as transporting them to and from bible study or church service when called upon. She always made herself available, just as long as she didn't have to drive the freeways! She took surface streets everywhere!!
Beverly was a world traveler and loved taking cruises. Some of her trips included Greece, Italy, Hawaii, and the Holy Land. Each leaving a lasting impression upon her.
