Beverly Lillian Mignella, age 83, a resident of Warrington, PA and formerly of Beach Haven, NJ died on November 17, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Robert Joseph Mignella for 63 years.
Beverly was born on April 16, 1941, in Somerville, NJ, the daughter of the late Albert L. Shipley and the late Mary E. Jordan Shipley.
She graduated from Plainfield High School, Plainfield, NJ in 1959.
She was a devoted wife, homemaker and mother. After raising her children, she began her 17-year career as an Administrative Assistant for Somerset County Board of Social Services, from where she retired in 1996.
In earlier years, she served as President of the Parent Teacher Association for VanDerveer Elementary School in Somerville, NJ and was a member of Girl Scouts of America. Additionally, she served as President of the Community Arts Program in Beach Haven, NJ and was a member and former Queen of the Beach Haven, NJ Chapter of the Red Hats Society. She was an active member of the Long Beach Island Garden Club for 20 years.
She was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Beach Haven, NJ and Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, NJ. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society.
She enjoyed crafting, flower arranging and babysitting.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Robin A. Mignellla and Barbara A. Sion, Diane M. and Russell Lindemann and Thomas A. Mignella; sisters, Judy Zampello and Sharon Shipley. She was preceded in death by her sister Carol Featherman.
Funeral Service will be held at noon on Friday, November 22, 2024, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Road, Abington, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Community Missions, Inc., 1570 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14303 (communitymissions.kindful.com or to Husky House, 391 Rt. 34, Matawan, NJ 07747 (www.huskyhouse.org)
