Beverly Jean Miles was born on November 23, 1953, to the late Joe Willie and Amelia Curtis-Smith. She peacefully transitioned on December 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family.
Beverly was a proud graduate of H. Grady Spruce High School, Class of 1972. In 1973, she attended Bishop College, where she obtained her Nursing Degree and dedicated herself to caring for others with compassion and grace. She was also a long-time member of Full Gospel Holy Temple Inc.
She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was a loving mother to Lakethia Smith and Allen Miles Jr. and a devoted grandmother to Brenson Smith, Aprentice Smith, Krystal Smith and Brawshay Smith.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Keyron Smith, Ja’haromi Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Tru Smith, Dmyrie Smith, Kenzie Smith, Keiarie Smith, Amir Smith, Desire Smith, Armani Smith, Passion Smith, Sa’sarii Smith, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Deirdre Smith, Melanie Smith, Sharon Smith, Rosalind Smith, Merrill Hinton, Gregory Smith, and Veda Smith.
Beverly was further blessed with a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved deeply and cared for as her own. She was not only a devoted family woman but also a loyal and compassionate friend, known for her kindness, wisdom, and willingness to always be there for others.
Beverly Jean Miles will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, strength, and unconditional love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
