Beverly Boyack Moffitt

We lovingly remember Beverly Boyack Moffitt, born December 9, 1932, in Seattle, WA, who recently passed on March 6, 2026. Beverly was best known for her friendly disposition, genuine concern for others, and selfless acts of service. which stem from her deep faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Beverly was a dedicated wife to her husband of 58 years, Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Moffitt.

Beverly attended Brigham Young University majoring in Elementary Education. She then went on to teach 3rd grade in Los Angeles, CA and Seattle, WA. After teaching for six years, she served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Frankfurt, Germany. She married Jerry on June 30, 1966 in the Oakland, CA Temple and they settled down in San Jose California.

She loved to serve her community, including being a school board member in San Jose, an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the Founder and President of the Blossom Valley Neighborhood Association. Throughout her life she served in numerous church callings, including Relief Society and Young Women's president. After Jerry retired in 2001, they served as senior missionaries in Spokane, WA, Boston, MA, and Salt Lake City Utah, then retired to Provo, UT.

Beverly is survived by her daughters, Merrilyn (Roy) Hilton, Heidi (Shawn Davis) Darling, Deborah (Matthew) Torrens, and Jeanie (Garrett) Anderson, and 11 grandchildren; Michaela (Bret) Foster, Lana, Blake, Dakota, and Jae Darling; Sydney, Tyler, Drew, and Landon Torrens; Solomon (Rayne), and Jeremiah Anderson. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Moffitt, her parents, Merrill Waterhouse and Lydia Olsen Boyack, and sister Geraldine Boyack. She will be missed by hundreds of first, second and third cousins in the extended Boyack Clan, to whom she remained close all her life.

All are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life, to be held on Saturday, March 21, 1 pm, at the LDS Church located at 4300 N. Canyon Rd. in Provo. Viewing and graveside services will be held on Friday, March 20, by invitation only.
