Beverly Diane Pugh, age 74, of Gautier, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 10, 2025. She was born in Kokomo, Mississippi, and lived a life full of love, devotion, and care for her family, friends, and beloved pets.
She was preceded in death by her father, Van Harold Turnage; her mother, Mary Rose Campbell Turnage; and her brother, Jay Randall Turnage.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, David Pugh; her children, Michelle Polk (Jesse), Christopher Kelley (Chrissy); her stepchildren, Mark Kelley (Elizabeth), Jason Pugh (Laura), Kelly Pilger (David), Hunter Pugh (Daisy); She was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Deborah Turnage Braziel.
Affectionately known as “the Cat Whisperer,” Beverly adored her three cats — Mia, Alex, and Sapphire — who brought her much joy and companionship.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Legion Post 1992, P.O. Box 682, Gautier, MS 39553.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all their friends and loved ones for their support during this difficult time, and to Vital Care Hospice for their compassionate care.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit from 12:00pm until service time. Beverly will be laid to rest at Biloxi National Cemetery.
