Beverly M. Putnam

Beverly Putnam, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and lifelong resident of Cherry Valley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. She was 84.
Beverly was born on December 23, 1940, in Cherry Valley, the daughter of the late Hilda (Madison) and Clifford Snyder. She graduated from Cherry Valley High School in 1959 and went on to attend Albany Business College that same year.
Early in her career, Beverly worked for General Electric in Utica for three years. She later dedicated over 30 years of service to Bassett Hospital, in the finance department where she worked until her retirement in 1999. Beverly spent the majority of her life in the Cherry Valley area, where she raised her family and contributed to her community.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Hilda and Clifford Snyder, and her brother, Bill Snyder.
She is survived by her loving family, including her three devoted daughters and their spouses: Sharon France (Rick) of Johnstown, NY, Vicki Parshall (Fred) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Brenda Hogan (Rich) of Canajoharie, NY
She also leaves behind her brother, Gordon Snyder (Patricia) and her sister-in-law, Barbara Snyder.
Beverly was a proud and loving figure to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Cherry Valley, NY with Lyman Johnson and Theresa Grescheck officiating, Committal service to follow at the Cherry Valley Cemetery
