Beverly Scollins

Beverly Scollins died peacefully in her sleep at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center on Sunday, October 19th, 2025. She spent her final days surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Born on January 31st, 1944, she lived in a few different towns in the Greater Boston Area, including West Roxbury. Beverly graduated from Roslindale High School.
During her high school years, Beverly met and fell in love with a fellow classmate, Hugh Scollins. Beverly and Hugh were married for over 61 years. She loved him each and every day and together, they raised 3 children - Susan, James, and Leslie - in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Beverly attended Burdett Business School before starting a career with the New England Patriots. She began a legacy that would continue for 2 more generations employed by the team, and her family remain diehard Patriots fans to this day. Beverly always looked back on the people, memories, and laughter from her time there fondly. Beverly eventually left the New England Patriots for a role at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She dutifully commuted to Boston from the Mansfield train station daily. The commute was a major change from when she worked at the Patriots, but she was thankful for the people and opportunities PwC provided her with.
After she retired from PwC, Beverly and Hugh moved to Providence, Rhode Island where they've lived for the past 13+ years. Beverly spent all the time she could with her children and grandchildren. A creative craftswoman all her life, Beverly frequented craft fairs and sold handmade clothing for American Girl Dolls in shops around Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She enjoyed bonding with friends, in-person and online, over shared interests like Outlander, bingo, crochet, tiny homes, and dogs and other pets
Beverly is survived by her husband, Hugh Scollins, and their 3 children: Susan Scollins and her husband, Jorgen Lillsebbas; Jim Scollins and his wife, Meaghan Scollins; and Leslie Scollins Gonsalves and her husband, Mike Gonsalves. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren: Alyssa Cote and her partner, Nick Stafford; Aaron Cote and his partner, Savannah Obreiter; Jack Scollins and his wife, Kaitlynn Scollins; Liam Scollins; Bella Lillsebbas and her fiancé, George West; and William Lillsebbas. Her grandchildren share fond memories of celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas at Nana's along with other traditions such as attending local theater productions, lunches at Panera, helping her with crafts, and more special moments with Nana.
Lastly, Beverly was pre-deceased by Cooper, her sweet boy. Beverly rescued Cooper, a teddy bear mix that is half Shih Tzu, half Bichon Frisé. Cooper was Beverly's whole world, and he provided her with unconditional love, joy, and companionship. They spent every day together for 15 years, and anywhere she went, he'd be right by her side. Cooper crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 1st, 2024. She missed him every day since then and felt peace that, in death, she would be reunited with her baby boy.
