Steven Ross, of Paonia Colorado, passed away after a brief illness on September 9, 2025. He was born in 1967 to Raymond Ross and Sheila Ross and grew up in Foxboro, MA alongside his favorite sister Diane.
He had a love of reading, photography and music and played both the trumpet and guitar. Though Steven called Colorado home for over 25 years, his heart remained loyal to Boston sports. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for the outdoors, especially his love of biking, skiing, camping and hiking.
Steven began his career at the Franklin Institute, where he earned his electrician's license. He later advanced his education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering. His career took him across the United States, working in various states and gaining a wealth of experience-but no matter where his work led him, he always looked forward to returning home to Colorado.
He is survived by his parents, Raymond Ross of Foxboro, MA, Sheila Ross of Bradenton, FL and his sister, Diane Wilson and her husband Patrick of Marshfield, MA and his beloved dog Hanna. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends he enjoyed visiting when he was in Massachusetts.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 23 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street in Foxborough.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation or your local animal shelter.
