Kathie A. Leighton

Kathie A. Leighton (Campos), age 71, passed away peacefully surround by her loved ones at Milford Regional Medical Center on October 18, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Elena (Fransoso) Campos.
Kathie was born on May 19, 1954 in Boston and was a graduate of Foxborough High School, Class of 1972. Kathie married her husband Donald Leighton on September 15, 1972. She retired from the Town of Foxborough in 2019 after working as the Director of Extended Services for several years in the Foxborough schools. She enjoyed reading the bible, watching Boston sports, and good food. Kathie found the most joy spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Kathie also loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and touched the lives of many people through the word of God.

Loving mother of Donald (DJ) Leighton Jr. of Augusta, GA, Jason Leighton and his wife Angela of Mooresville, NC, Nick Leighton and his wife Kyle of Bellingham, Jack Leighton and his wife Jenn of Bellingham and Jesse Leighton and his wife Jessica of Franklin. Beloved grandmother of Thomas Leighton and his wife Morgan, Matthew Leighton and his wife Mikaela, Kyle Leighton and his wife Deriel, Owen, Meghan, Jade, Cameron, Brooke, Ava, Nate, Charlie, Mara, Palmer, Everett, and Hunter. Great grandmother of Jude, Elora, Mila, Laleh, A'la, and Haddie. Sister of Marg McDonnell of Foxborough, Gil Campos and his wife Karen of Hopkinton, Maureen Fertitta and her husband Skip of North Attleborough, Mary Lou Hixson and her husband Ted of Moseley, VA, Gerri Viglas and her husband Steve of Tiverton, RI, and Michelle Callahan and her husband Dennis of Foxborough.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 22 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10 AM at the Church of Emanuel, 106 Central Street, Foxborough.
