Beverly Sheeks Obituary
Beverly, also known as "Bev" or "Sis" by everyone, was born Friday, October 30, 1942 to the late Trovas Eugene Weddle and Geneva (Guynn) Weddle Maxwell in Martinsville, Indiana.
Sis was a 1961 graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a lifelong resident of Martinsville. Sis married her high school sweetheart, Glenn H. Sheeks on July 14, 1962. Sis was a woman of many talents from being a mom, grandmother, wife, an excellent cook to driving racecars and semi car haulers, being a nerf basketball champion and card game champ. She was very passionate about a great deal of things from bingo to IU sports. Sis loved stockcar racing and spending time with her family, but her biggest passion was going shopping with her daughter Kim, nothing made her happier.
She is survived by her children, Stephen E. "Steve" Sheeks (Cheryl), Kimberly "Kim" Like both of Martinsville; brothers, Terry Weddle of Greenwood, Tony Weddle and Jay Weddle both of Martinsville; sisters, Lynn Lanham of Georgia, Debbie Miller and Becky Dixon both of Martinsville; grandchildren, Evan Glenn Like and Suzanne E. Watts.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Glenn who passed August 30, 2019; parents, Trovas and Geneva; stepfather, James Maxwell, Sr.; brother, David Weddle; sisters, Vicky "Moody" Weddle, Pamela Jean Weddle; stepbrother, James Maxwell, Jr.; son in law, Jack Like.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service Tuesday, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at New South Park Cemetery.
