Beverly Sue Wedding (nee Bramlage) passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Village Care Center in Erlanger, Kentucky with family by her side at the age of 85 years old.  Beverly was born May 25, 1938 in Covington, Kentucky to Raymond & Thelma Bramlage. She graduated from Holy Cross High School. Not long after she married Barney Wedding, a handsome man with a convertible. After the birth of their third daughter, Barney and Bev packed up their little family and headed up north continuing Barney’s lifelong career in the baking industry. First stop Hammond, Indiana, next Milwaukee, Wisconsin finally settling down in Chicago, Illinois to raise their family. Barney’s career went to the next level as he became a traveling Bakery Technician throughout North America for ADM. Bev enjoyed making friends everywhere she worked, volunteered or lived. She loved expressing herself in all sorts of artistic endeavors. Friends and family were randomly bestowed oil paintings, decorated cakes, flower arrangements and parties.

Eventually her and Barney came back to their old Kentucky home of Covington to be closer to her parents, with Barney on the road much of the time. Bev never one to be idle, found the project of a life time and somehow talked Barney into buying a gem of a chopped-up home that was converted to a boarding house in the Wallace Woods neighborhood. Bev along with a cast of characters and contractors brought that beast to her modern vision of the Victorian era. She would proudly offer tours of the house to anyone who asked. Their home was on the Wallace Woods tours and hosting progressive dinner soirées. Many gatherings were celebrated in her pride and joy including political meet and greets, class reunions and even a wedding. The large front porch with swing was the perfect place to celebrate a 100th birthday party for the house. The house swelled with guests enjoying the entertainment by a psychic, harkening to the home’s history of witnessing seances on the third floor.

Anything that Bev wanted or dreamed of she unapologetically pursued, which brings us back to the beginning with the handsome man and the convertible. After retiring she bought her own Ford Mustang convertible, enjoying the shocked looks of bystanders that checked out her car.

Bev was very active at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington as an usher and the Ladies Society. She was a co-captain of Covington Neighborhood Block Watch program. Never wanting to be at loose ends, she joined The Red Hat Society even becoming a queen. Loving the comradery and good excuse for a party, she was in endless pursuit for the perfect hat.

Beverly was preceded in death by that handsome man with the convertible Bernard Wedding, her parents, the late Raymond & Thelma, Bramlage and sister, Shirley Wesselman.  She is survived by her daughters, Tina Wedding, Brenda Wedding and Donna (Jeff) Moore; grandchildren, Michelle (Alex) Keener and Bryan (Myra) Lump.

A graveside service was celebrated with her immediate family where she was interred at Mother of God Cemetery, Latonia.  Sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to, the St. Vincent DePaul Pharmacy, Northern Kentucky.
