Beverly Anne Ward, 82 of Springville Utah peacefully went to heaven Thursday November 16, 2023. She was born April 5, 1941 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Los Angeles California alongside her twin sister Barbara to Willard Archer Colby and Olive Ilda Colby. She married Glen Robert Ward on August 26, 1961 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
Beverly grew up in Oceanside California, attended BYU and Utah State Universities before graduating from Michigan State University in 1964 where she had two children Cathleen Anne Ward and Robert Colby Ward. After college she moved to Santa Barbara, California for a few years and then to Houston Texas where she raised her children and finally to Springville Utah for the remainder of her years. She was a devout wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to travel, attend her kids and family members activities, cook, quilt, participate in book clubs and in later years was very passionate about her genealogy work and scrapbooking the family adventures.
Beverly is survived by her husband Glen Robert Ward, her two children Cathy Ward Markham of Belfair Washington and Robert Colby Ward of Chico Texas, 4 grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
The family has decided to have a private family gathering in memory of Beverly and has prepared a video memorial for friends and family to view in memory of our beloved Beverly. Link to the video is below. In lieu of flowers please plant a memorial tree as a lasting tribute to our dear Beverly.
