Beverly Ann Tucker Webb, 78, of Winterville, Georgia, passed away and joined her heavenly Father on January 1st, 2025. “Bev”, as she was always known by all, was born January 8th, 1946, and was the daughter of William Grady and Kathleen Black Tucker. Bev was a member of Sonlight Baptist Church where she attended for the vast majority of her life, as well as volunteered in numerous capacities throughout her time. While Bev maintained a very strong mental awareness until her passing, her physical body gave way as she transitioned to join many of her loved ones waiting for her on the other side. Bev was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Larry Jimmy Webb, as well as several of her fur-children, Pepi, Candi, Nicki, Toni, Sassi, Fanci, and Maggi. She is survived by her 2 brothers, Gerald and Danny Tucker (Annette), and 1 sister, Dorothy Brandenburg (Ken, deceased). Additionally, she is survived by 4 nieces, Brandy Huff (Wesley), Brooke Totten (Andy), Amy Loggins (Don), & Angela Jackson (James), and 3 nephews, Scott and Gary Brandenburg, and Brad Tucker (RaeAnn). She was preceded by 2 nephews, Chris Tucker and Wes Brandenburg. Additionally she is survived by several great-nephews and great-nieces, Tristen Huff (Brandy), Kailee & Bryce Canalas and Kaitlyn & Kylie Totten (Brooke), Anna Loggins (Amy), and Jacob Tucker (Brad).Bev was born in Athens, but grew up in Oglethorpe County, where she was a graduate of Oglethorpe County High School. Most can agree that Bev’s life really started when she met Larry. As the story goes, she was out and about in Elberton and needed gas, so pulled into a gas station where Larry was working, and he asked her, “Where have you been all my life?”, to which Bev answered, “Waiting for you.” If you knew Larry and Bev, you knew they were inseparable. They married January 1st, 1966, 59 years to the day before she joined him in Heaven. Bev had a few jobs during her early years, most notably at the Athens Banner Herald, but finally landed at Westinghouse, which later became ABB, where she worked for 30+ years, and ultimately retired. Both Larry and Bev worked together at ABB during this time and drove to and from work almost every day.For those that knew Bev, they would describe her in a few ways; generous, kind-hearted, sentimental, and family oriented. She was always willing to give her time and resources to those that needed it. She would lend her advice, experience, wisdom, and knowledge to any that asked, and she loved doing so in a comedic way, always striving to make others laugh. She loved talking about and sharing her heritage, especially how she grew up and what it was like being raised in this part of the country. And, she was very proud of her family, both the family that had passed, such as her mother and father, and the family that was still here, always talking about their accomplishments and just how proud of them she was in all they did. Another very important part of Bev was she was very passionate and loving with animals, including her children, Pepi, Candi, Nicki, Toni, Sassi, Fanci, and Maggi, and the Berry College Eagles whom she developed a strong love and attachment for, and made many close friends during the process. It’s very safe to say that Bev will be missed for these, and so many other qualities, and that we are all better for having her in our lives.
