Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Waurika, OK, Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., with interment in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK. Visitation on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Waurika. Memorial Donations can be made to the Waurika Volunteer Fire Department, 107 W. Anderson, Waurika, OK 73573.
Beverly Ann (Brady) Winton was born to Neomi Lee (Phillips) Brady and Andrew Jackson Brady, Jr. on August 21, 1951 in Walters, OK and departed this life in Waurika, OK on October 21, 2025 at the age of 74 years and 2 months.
Beverly grew up at Walters and was in the Class of 1969. She married Harold Ray Winton on August 2, 1968 in Wichita Falls, TX and to the union 2 children were born. They made their home in Walters for the first year then moved to Waurika in 1969. Beverly worked as a billing clerk at city hall until she and Harold bought Fowlers Auto Service in November of 1976. The name was changed to Winton’s Auto Parts and Service, and she took over the responsibilities of bookkeeping and parts.
Beverly was an active Rainbow Girl growing up, with her grandparents being a part of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. And she was an active member of First Baptist Church Walters during those years. Her hobbies have been ballgames, pig shows and going to the races. She never said no to racing in 57 years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Neomi Brady; her grandparents who raised her, Eddie and Effie Phillips; her uncle, Ivan Eddie Phillips; and her aunt, Emma Thurman.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Winton of the home; her daughter, Lisa Rawlings and husband Luke of Matagorda, TX and kids, McCain, Walker and Emma Kreek; a son, Harold Winton Jr. and wife Kristi of Waurika, and sons Blaine and Jordan and his wife Katie; her sister, Anita Drake of Georgetown, TX; a nephew Michael Briscoe of Round Rock, TX; a niece, Brenda Gregory and Steven of Georgetown; her dog, Sugar; several cousins and friends.
