Beverly Mae Witt, 88, passed away peacefully at 1:17 p.m. on Thursday February 19, 2026 at Continuing Healthcare of Niles. A lifelong resident of the area, Beverly was a woman of deep faith in God and devotion to her family.
She was born on August 18, 1937 in Palmyra, Ohio, the beloved daughter of the late Clyde and Ida Mae (Adams) Wright. She grew up in the Niles area, graduating from Niles McKinley High School and spent a significant portion of her life working as a bookkeeper for several local businesses, including Choice Homes in Youngstown.
Beverly enjoyed quilting, sewing, genealogy, online shopping, debating politics and playing three-card poker in Vegas. However, her real joy in life came from cooking for her family. She even published a cookbook to share with her family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Ronald Wright and Clyde “Jake” Wright; a sister Marilyn Kelly, her husbands, James Witt and Robert C. Jack; and her beloved son, Brian C. Jack, whose unexpected passing in 2019 remained a significant part of her heart.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Sandra Boros and her partner John Davis of Niles; her daughter-in-law, Merrily Jack; her three granddaughters, Deseree Stredney (Edward) of Niles, Drs. Danielle Thomas (David) of Niles and Melanie Jack (Ashley) of Providence, Rhode Island; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Tessa Rolfe, Morgan Stredney, Skyler Stredney, Lana Chine, Lucy Chine, Charlotte Cox-Moore, and Penelope Cox-Moore; sister-in-law June Wright of Cortland as well as several extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
“Bucka” will be remembered for her independence, work ethic, and macaroni salad, which sadly is not in her cookbook.
The family requests that material contributions be made to the Warren Family Mission at https://warrenfamilymission.com/donate/.
