Beverly Wolford Obituary

Beverly J. Wolford, 83, lifelong resident of Marysville, passed away Thursday morning, October 9, 2025, at Memorial Hospital following complications from surgery.

One of four children, Bev was born February 2, 1942, in Columbus to Eugene P. and Dorothy J. (Mouser) Elliott. A graduate of Marysville High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles L. "Les" Wolford, on December 1, 1960, at the Springdale Baptist Church, beginning 56 years of a devoted marriage together until his passing on April 1, 2017. They worked alongside each other at Dennison Hydraulics, now Parker Hannefin, for over 40 years.

Bev was a member of the Marysville Christian Church, where she was extremely close with her fellow members who shared their grief in a widow's group. A longtime member of the Marysville Eagles 3506, she enjoyed her love for slot machines which extended to her excitement of trying her hand at scratch offs and lottery tickets, determined to "make it big!" She always hoped she would be a contender on Cash Explosion, and her daughter, Kathy, took her to a taping of the show. Bev had a love for games and gameshows, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud. She had fun deciding who should be kicked off Survivor and Big Brother, but also tuned her TV into rooting on her beloved OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. She became a NASCAR fan with Les, and she "loved to hate" Kyle Busch, while cheering for Carl Edwards, then Chase Elliott, simply because he shared her maiden name.

Bev was an old soul, and found joy in the simplest things, be it square dancing with Les every Saturday night, or making sure to be at taco dinner nights at her son, Randy's house. She loved being at home, cooking and baking cakes for her neighbors, and making sure to spoil her beloved dogs. She just wanted to care for everyone around her, and she loved her family very deeply. There are no words to describe how much they will miss her.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Mark) Rees and Randy (Shelena) Wolford both of Marysville; grandchildren Tara, Kerah, Amy, Bethany, Josh, and Ashley; 14 great grandchildren; twin sister, Shirley (Ernie) Daum; sisters Pat (Jack) Blessing and Sharon (Reid) Skillman; in-laws Harold Wolford and Rita Wolford; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Along with her parents, and her husband, Les, Bev was also preceded in death by a son, Doug Wolford, great granddaughters Ella and Ryleigh; and in-laws Judy Wolford, Ron Wolford, and Mary & Don Christian.

Family will greet friends from 4-7 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 10 am Thursday with Rev. Ed Beeson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery with her grandson and great grandsons as pallbearers.

In Bev's memory, contributions may be made to the Marysville Christian Church for their food pantry, 17000 Waldo Rd. Marysville, or in care of the funeral home, where contribution cards will be available during service times.

Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Bev's family, and condolences may be expressed to them at www.IngramFuneralService.com.

I was so sorry to hear of Bev´s passing. It´s hard to believe since I just had a good conversation with her at the reunion a couple weeks ago. I hope that your memories and fun times with her will bring some comfort. She was a great and very caring lady. You´ll be in my thoughts and prayers.
Fondly Janie Crothers Easton
