Ronald A. Czajkowski, affectionally know as Big Ron, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday June 17, 2025. He was 87 years old. After graduating from Woodbridge High School, Big Ron went on to honorably serve his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Air Force. He earned a Good Conduct Medal and an Air Force Longevity Service Award. Ronald became a licensed electrician during his time in the Air Force. Big Ron was a dedicated employee of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 40 years, working as a union electrician. He was a lover of trains and amassed a large collection of LGB trains. Big Ron was active all his life, playing basketball, golf and bocci. He loved being an active member of his community. The Czajkowski family moved to Toms River in 1976. He and his wife Sonia retired in 2001, splitting their time between Eagle Ridge, Fort Myers, Florida and Sonata Bay, Bayville, New Jersey. Ronald and Sonia loved both residences and cherished the many friendships they made along the way. Big Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Sonia Czajkowski in 2022. He is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Capune and Heather Hynes; his two sons-in-law William Capune and Matthew Hynes; and his two grandsons Henry and William Hynes. Henry and William were their grandpa's pride and joy. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Carmona - Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.
