Mr. William Coleman "Bill" Beck, 59, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 4, 1964 in Winona to Charles Coleman and Joyce DeLoach Beck. Bill was a graduate of Holmes Community College. He enjoyed a career spanning over 40 years in the farm and agricultural equipment business. His work began at Grenada Equipment and culminated when he retired in 2023 as Manager of Wade, Inc. in Columbus. He was a member of First Baptist Church – Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Beck Family Plot in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in the Jefferson Community of Carroll County. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife Lynne Crawford Beck; daughter, Kathryn Beck Swain(Coleman) of Columbus; son, Austin Crawford Beck of Waynesboro, MS; mother, Joyce DeLoach Beck of Grenada; two brothers, Ray Beck(Kathy) of Grenada and Danny Beck(Patty) of Carrollton; and the family is anxiously anticipating the arrival of twin girls in September, 2024, Mary Collins Swain and Lela Beck Swain.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Cooper Beck, Jeb Beck, Mathis Beck, Noah Beck, Steve Clark and Shawn Snellings will honor Bill by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the Liberty Cemetery. Ray and Danny Beck will honor their brother by serving as honorary pallbearers.
