Bill D. Deaton, 78, of London, KY passed away on July 28, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY. Mr. Deaton was born in Booneville, KY to the late Junior and Lucille Deaton on March 1, 1947. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 58 years, Judy Farmer Deaton; a loving father to his children, Christopher (Cynthia) and Lori Deaton of London, KY; a doting grandfather to Tara Deaton-Benge (Wes) of London, KY; Jacob Deaton (Katelyn) of Florence, KY; Mikayla Deaton of London, KY; Camryn Deaton ofRichmond, KY; Emma Deaton of London, KY; Nicholas Orr (Kristen), Noah Orr, Morgan Orr (Kaylee), Audrey-Grace Orr, and Scout Orr of London, KY; and Kennedy Deaton and J.T. Deaton of Lexington, KY; and a proud great-grandfather to Micah Deaton, Caroline Benge, and Oliver Benge of London, KY; and Graham Deaton and Benjamin Deaton of Florence, KY. Bill Deaton graduated from Owsley County High School in 1965 as Valedictorian of his high school class. He went on to attend the University of Kentucky, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. While attending college, he started his employment career with Appalachian Computer Services as a bookkeeper, and quickly rose through the ranks to positions such as Director of Operations and Vice President, ending as President. As a native eastern Kentuckian, Bill Deaton committed his life to the pursuit of entrepreneurial activities and economic development for the region. He loved southeastern Kentucky. As a result of his desire to help Kentucky, he founded multiple successful businesses, including Telemark America, Image Entry, CompuNet America, and OrderResource. In April 2003, Mr. Deaton established Senture, an award-winning contact center organization that employed more than 4,000 people at the time of its sale in 2021. Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Lucille Wilson Deaton; his sister, Martha Deaton Dunaway; and by his beloved children, Anthony Deaton and Jeremy Deaton. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith and commitment to the Lord and his church, being a long-time member of The Creek Church. Mr. Deaton loved people. He never met a stranger and connected with people from all walks of life and was always willing to share his faith. He loved life. He loved to fish. He loved the University of Kentucky and was a Big Blue fan through and through. Most of all, he loved and adored his family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at The Creek. A funeral service celebrating the life of Bill Deaton will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Creek Church in London, Kentucky. Interment will take place at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, KY. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to The Creek Church at 75 Capital Dr., London, KY 40741 or The Anthony T. and Jeremy M. Deaton Foundation, Inc., 456 Industrial Blvd., London, KY 40741. This foundation was set up by Bill and Judy Deaton to support and promote local charities and community needs. House-Rawlings Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
