William E. "Bill" Dougherty, 72, passed away on Saturday, January 25th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Dougherty, and nephew, Thomas Yocum. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, with whom he spent 45 years; his nephew, Paul Yocum; niece, Amber Yocum (Franklin Neff); and three great nephews, Thomas Yocum II, Anthony and Kash Yocum.
Bill was a simple man who lived an incredible life. He had a subtle but wicked sense of humor and was a devoted husband, brother, and uncle. He retired from Phillip Morris after 25+ years and went on to work for Kroger for an equal time.
In recent years, Bill spent time cheering for his favorite team, the Kentucky Wildcats. He never said no to bingo or the casino, or a good burger. Bill will always be remembered for the way he deeply loved and supported his family over the years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway.
