Bill Martin

Bill J Martin passed away on Wednesday evening, March 11, 2026 at the age of 91. He was

born December 12, 1934 to Bill & Opal Martin in Pawnee Oklahoma. He grew up in rural

Pawnee county, one boy in the middle of 4 girls in the family.

He retired in 1994 as a customer serviceman for Oklahoma Natural Gas (now ONEOK), after a

lifelong career with the company. After his retirement, he greatly enjoyed his woodworking

hobby, as well as handyman and yard work tasks. But above all he enjoyed helping to maintain

facilities for the annual gatherings of the home fellowship community he was a part of. He

committed his life to God as a young boy, and valued the evidence of God's help and kindness

throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys; 3 children: Carl (Lori), Robert and Linda Martin; 2 stepsons,

Troy (Sharma) and Chad (Christine) Wimer; sisters Anna Beekmann, Edna Updegrove, Ruby

Camp; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Helen, sister Irene Heisler and

granddaughter Rebecca Martin.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Legend @ Council Road community and to

his Valir Hospice care team for their love and care for him in his final years and months.
