Bill was an avid reader, history buff, music fan, and lover of all things sports, although he reserved his real passion for the Red Sox. Many people have fond memories of Bill quietly cheering them on at sporting events, sharing stories at the Island over freshly caught seafood, and chatting bar side at Yesterdays, at which he bartended and then owned for more than 50 years. May we hold our memories close and our loved ones closer as we move on in a world without him.
He was predeceased by his mother Betty, father Bill, brother Joe, and daughter Kathryn. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth and two granddaughters, Phiona and Ella.

Bill Kennedy, Otisfield, ME
Yesterday
I just read the obituary on Bill, whom I have known since his Montclair High School days.
He used to come into Bond's Ice Cream Parlor, where I worked while finishing college. When he became old enough to drink beer legally, we would have a few beers at Tierney's Tavern.
We became better friends when he was on the sales staff of The Hideout. And when he started working at Yesterdays, I became a customer.
During that young adulthood period, we persuaded Bill to play on our Cedar Grove fast-pitch softball team, and he became a star.
So, there is a lot of history between us.
Regrettably, I will be unable to make it for the viewing and service, because I live 370 miles north of you folks in Maine.
